We have a Staines Ramblers WhatsApp group which allows members to offer ad-hoc car sharing starting from any location locally or to request/accept a place. This is particularly useful when the walk starts some distance away or where there is limited parking at the start of the walk. See the separate article on the WhatsApp group.
Passengers usually make a voluntary contribution, currently 20p per mile calculated on the outward journey, towards fuel expenses and this should be arranged with the driver.
