Staines Ramblers

Our group walking holiday to Hassness House, Buttermere was a wonderful opportunity to explore this beautiful part of the Lake District.

The trip was organised by Mike Heather and the walks were led by two Ramblers volunteers, Hilary and Claire, who were familiar with the local area. There were walks to many of the nearby peaks such as Hay Stacks, High Snockrigg, Robinson, Rannerdale Knotts, Fleetwith, Dale Head, High Spy, Brandreth and Green Gable as well as local sites such as Honister slate mine, Dubs Quarry, and Scale Force waterfall.
